Jun. 25th, 2021 04:25 amcan't wrap my head around why antis are soooo against incest ships between GROWN ASS CONSENTING ADULTS. like, even applying irl logic to it, i honestly don't get what's so wrong about two adult brothers being in a relationship...
(parental incest between adults is more complicated to me and i'm not too sure how i feel about it irl, other than finding it gross irl i don't know if i can really say it's "wrong"...it's mostly the fact that i believe parents should be supportive of their children even when they're adults, and i think getting in a relationship with them can kinda muddy that, especially if they breakup...but i guess if they're both adults it's not really my business, i just really wouldn't advise it)
but like two siblings? who are more like best friends?? and don't have any parent/child dynamic between them or anything? why do antis seethe at this harmless stuff sooo much omg. even some proshippers rage too if it's irl. i guess if it's between members of the opposite sex they wanna use the excuse of 'mutated babies', even if they don't plan on having biological children (and i think they can be smart about this and adopt instead if they want kids). but jesus, if two grown siblings want to be together nobody else should have a say in that, they can consent for themselves. yeah it might be gross and weird, especially to other members of their family, but that shouldn't matter in the end (being gross+weird doesn't automatically make it wrong). and it shouldn't matter A HUNDRED TIMES MORE if it's ONLY FICTIONAL OMG. like, antis will even freak out over adopted siblings, it makes me facepalm it's so pathetic. it's like they see a sibling bond as this SACRED thing that should never change, even in drawings. (imagine if they freaked like this over friendship bonds, jesus). whenever i see them cry about some person shipping siblings, i have to resist shouting "THIS SHIT IS TAME AF SHUTUP ALREADY LMAO"
